Osteopathy’s Promise to Children’s Scholarship Program enables aspiring osteopathic students the opportunity to participate in continuing education programs at Osteopathic Center San Diego by providing financial assistance to cover all or a portion of the recipient’s course fees. Ongoing scholarship opportunities include:
Viola M. Frymann Memorial Scholarship Fund
In 2019, OPC will award five $1,000 scholarships for the Foundations of Osteopathic Cranial Manipulative Medicine Course held in July. Osteopathic physicians in training and DO residents are eligible to apply (a deposit of $795.00 must accompany the registration).
Western University COMP Scholarship
This scholarship, provided by OPC and the Viola M. Frymann Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of WesternU’s Founder and President Emeritus, Dr. Philip Pumerantz, is awarded annually in the month of March to eligible students as recommended by Chairs of the Department of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department at participating colleges and universities. Scholarship recipients receive a full scholarship towards one (1) registration for the Foundations of Osteopathic Cranial Manipulative Medicine Course (40-Hour Basic Course) offered each July at Osteopathic Center San Diego.
Touro California Scholarship – Scholarship David Crotty, D.O.
Annual grand prize winners of TouroCOM’s OMM Case Presentation Competition receive scholarships for any one (1) CME course registration at Osteopathic Center San Diego.
Special Notes:
- Applications for the Viola M. Frymann Memorial Scholarship Fund are accepted from March 25, 2019-July 10, 2019
- All scholarship recipients must provide proof of eligibility for selected scholarship coursework, as necessary.
- Scholarships are active for 3 years from the original award date
