Osteopathy’s Promise to Children operates and maintains Osteopathic Center San Diego as a regional home for physician-led osteopathic care, education, research, and clinical experience.
Gifts support facility operations and maintenance, clinical learning and research space, community access, and pathways that connect patients with experienced osteopathic physicians and related services. Donor support also provides limited financial assistance for eligible individuals facing economic barriers to treatment when funding is available.
Physicians provide medical services at Osteopathic Center San Diego through their independent medical practices. OPC sustains the facility and supports the environment where patient care, physician education, and clinical research can continue.

Osteopathy’s Promise to Children advances the future of osteopathic medicine through three core pillars:
High-quality Continuing Medical Education (CME)
We provide advanced training for students, residents, fellows, and practicing physicians. Our courses honor the legacy of Dr. Sutherland and Dr. Viola M. Frymann and help cultivate the next generation of skilled osteopathic physicians and educators.
Innovative Research
We support and conduct research that expands the scientific foundation of osteopathy. Projects such as the OPT-IN study deepen clinical understanding, build national visibility, and strengthen the evidence base for osteopathic medicine.
Access to Osteopathic Treatment
OPC operates the Osteopathic Center San Diego in collaboration with organizations dedicated to advancing osteopathy in our region. This fund supports the operation of the center and provides access to more than ten osteopathic physicians who offer skilled, compassionate care. It also enables OPC to offer limited financial assistance to individuals who face economic barriers to treatment.
Our mission is to strengthen osteopathic education, expand scientific knowledge, and advance access to high-quality osteopathic treatment by supporting physicians, learners, and the broader community of individuals seeking osteopathic care.
